Introduction

The United States of America is one of the largest and most varied nations in the world. Its magnificent landscapes, pop culture and world class cities bring visitors from far and wide.
Unfortunately, many Americans have yet to see and experience the wonders and beauty found in their own country, but you can use this chance, and your computer, to plan and organize a trip in which you explore and enjoy seven major regions in the United States.
Lucky for you, you get to plan what you want to see, what you do, and where you go.
Enjoy planning your trip and exploring many of the interesting sites throughout the beautiful US of A!

The Task

In the picture above the United States is divided into separate regions. You will be planning a trip to visit one state in each region of the U.S.
While in each state, you will explore some of the major attractions and learn about the state, its people, and its culture.
Your task is to create an itinerary and budget to help you organize and plan your trip, and write a letter to your family convincing them to take the trip you have selected.
(An itinerary the route of a journey or tour or the proposed outline of one.)

Resources

Here is a map of the United States to help plan your trip.

The Hotel and Travel site can help locate and price hotels, car rentals, and airline flights.  DO NOT ENTER CREDIT CARD INFO HERE!

Once you know your where you are departing from and where you are going, you can determine the Distance Between.

The United States Census Bureau offers demographics and population information for each state. (Estimations are acceptable.)

Tourism Offices are a great way to learn about a state and many of the attractions.

All information should be organized on the Itinerary.

All expenses should also be recorded on the Budget .
